I’m Jodi Rainbow, founder of Wildflowers Therapy. I’m a registered NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner (P1581704) and a PACFA registered counsellor (30474) with a background in Psychological Science (BPsychScCoun).

At Wildflowers, I offer a unique, integrated approach that blends compassionate counselling with evidence-based behavioural support for people of all ages and abilities.

Whether you’re navigating trauma, mental health challenges, complex behaviours, or life transitions, I provide a safe, respectful space where you can feel supported to grow, heal, and make meaningful change.

With dual registration across both counselling and behaviour support, my practice is grounded in person-centred, trauma-informed care. I bring a strengths-based lens to every session, whether we're working toward emotional regulation, NDIS goals, or greater wellbeing.

I’m especially passionate about:

  • Providing NDIS Behaviour Support that is collaborative, capacity-building, and aligned with your values and goals

  • Offering holistic psychotherapy and counselling tailored to your emotional and relational needs

  • Supporting neurodivergent individuals, those with disability, and people navigating complex trauma

  • Advocating for inclusive, culturally safe, and trauma-informed care in every setting

At the heart of Wildflowers is a belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported. I’m here to help you build practical skills, emotional resilience, and healthier relationships—while staying grounded in what matters most to you.

Background

I have extensive experience supporting clients and their families at South Pacific Private Hospital (SPP), one of Australia’s leading treatment centres for complex mental health issues, trauma, and addiction. My time at SPP gave me deep insight into how childhood trauma can have a lasting impact on mental health, relationships, identity, and wellbeing throughout life.

Working with adults of all ages, I supported people facing a wide range of challenges, including substance use, sex and love addiction, gambling, PTSD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, codependency, and personality disorders. These experiences highlighted how unrecognised or unresolved trauma often sits beneath presenting issues, shaping behaviours and emotional patterns in powerful ways.

This background continues to guide my approach to both counselling and behaviour support — always with a focus on compassion, safety, and respect for each person’s lived experience. Whether you’re seeking support to manage overwhelming emotions, make sense of your past, or simply build a more grounded sense of self, I’m here to walk alongside you.

My approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and integrative — drawing on a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities to tailor support to each person’s individual needs and circumstances. I take the time to understand what matters most to each client and work collaboratively to develop strategies that are practical, compassionate, and aligned with their values.

Through my work with people from diverse backgrounds — including those with disabilities, neurodivergence, and complex co-occurring mental health conditions — I’ve gained extensive clinical insight into the many ways trauma, life experience, and social context shape wellbeing. This has informed my belief that therapy should never be one-size-fits-all.

I’m deeply committed to supporting adults, young people, and families with warmth, authenticity, and deep respect. My practice is guided by a belief in equality, accessibility, and human dignity. Whether clients are facing long-standing emotional challenges or seeking support to create meaningful change in their lives, I’m here to walk alongside them — to advocate, to listen, and to empower them on their path toward healing and growth.
